Sterling Homes did a complete overhaul of this 1978-built colonial in Andover, MA. This young family was tired of the cramped/dated kitchen and awkward flow...
Mom wanted to be able to see the kids in the family room while working in the kitchen, as well as entertain for large gatherings. Working with our architect, we developed a plan that would work for the whole family. Space was added to the back of the home, and the kitchen and family room were opened up for an open concept.
Before & After
BEFORE: The 1970's kitchen
AFTER: Working with our friends at The Kitchen Works in Acton, MA, we designed a bright kitchen with white cabinets and an 8 foot cherry island that seats four comfortably.
BEFORE: The dated family room and fireplace...
AFTER: Our finish carpenter updated the fireplace and created custom built-ins which are functional for storage, yet elegant.
Mom's favorite part... A mudroom was added including custom lockers for the kids.
BEFORE: Small crumbling deck
AFTER: A beautiful two-tier deck in the back - perfect for backyard barbeques!
This renovation came in on time and on budget. And with happy homeowners!
